Refugee Settlement Coordinator
Current• Act as the resource lead for settlement workers directly supporting refugees and a connection point for all others involved to ensure early access to relevant and culturally informed services.• Organize and deliver relevant weekly activities and information sessions for refugees• Hold ongoing support group sessions (for Refugee Women, Youth, LGBTQ+, etc.) and host ongoing social drop-ins to share their experience with services, challenges, and successes• Draft monthly analysis of needs, trends, and gaps, document promising practices, and solicit feedback and recommendations from both frontline and refugees on a quarterly basis• Support the team to organize and deliver activities that address the refugees’ needs• Streamline connections and referrals to other available resources in the community for refugees.• Assist Program Manager, Settlement Services in the implementation of evaluation measures on program effectiveness and recommend program improvement and refinement;• Assist Program Manager, Settlement Services in monitoring day-to-day program budget, expenditures and purchases• Support Program Manager, Settlement Services in site management coverage at Scarborough locations • Work closely with volunteer coordinator to support, training, and involvement of volunteers in various ongoing activities targeting refugees to create space for sharing and learning while connecting with others in various in-person, online and hybrid formats.• Develop and implement community outreach plans to promote CCS programs and services• Participate in regular program, team and regional meetings• Prepare and submit statistical and progress reports to supervisor as required
