CurrentResponsible for directing and managing the health care labor market research team, overseeing research and evidence to inform health workforce policies • Lead the development of state and federal policy-relevant research agenda; conceptualize and oversee mixed methods research; develop strategies for research dissemination for multiple audiences in different formats (such as Tableau) to inform workforce policies to improve health equity, access, rural distribution of providers in Minnesota.• Hire, onboard and develop research staff and interns; manage and mentor staff to drive project and performance targets that align with overall strategic vision; foster a culture of team psychological safety, high-quality performance and staff engagement; engage in team building and conflict resolution. • Manage and execute strategic planning; co-lead and manage cross functional teams; build consensus around competing work priorities; identify barriers to strategy implementation; develop workplans and metrics to track progress and strategic alignment.• Draft presentations, letters of support, grant proposals, podcasts scripts, reports, leadership talking points related to supply of health care workforce and impact of supply-side investments.• Conduct market research for grants management systems (GMS) for state COVID-19 grants; selected vendors based on business needs; make a business case, present recommendations to leadership to invest in GMS and receive consensus from executive management; procure and oversee the customization and build-out of GMS to meet grant administration and fiscal tracking and reconciliation needs.• Work with stakeholders such as policy makers, education institutions, healthcare employers and professional associations to conceptualize and draft legislative proposals to increase primary care workforce investments; testify before the legislature on workforce issues and the use of frameworks to evaluate scope of practice bills.
