Assistant Actuary, Bhudev Chatterjee Actuarial Consultancy Bhudev Chatterjee Actuarial Consultancy, an Actuarial Consultancy firm based in Kolkata, India with more than 600 clients which includes Government organization, PSU’s Bank, Insurance companies and Indian Defense Body.As an assistant to Mr.Bhudev Chatterjee our role is to handle specific no. of clients attributed specifically to us.Key Role includes:• Meet with clients to understand nature of problem for which actuarial work has to be carried out.• Depending upon work suggest possible data requirements.• Once the data is received look for any inconsistency, discrepancies and errors in data and modify/correct the same.• Develop new tools, write new programs if nature of problem is new else modify earlier program to make it applicable as per current situation/assumption.• Test model / program by ensuring results obtained are reasonable and by writing independent programs in two platforms namely FOXPRO and VBA for deterministic models whereas for stochastic models, simulation and statistical models write programs in R. • Get initial model and program verified from other assistant actuaries and finally from Mr. Bhudev Chatterjee (Actuary).• Communicate results and prepare reports as per required standard.(AS15 and IND AS19)• Handle auditor and clients queries related to different headings of the report prepared until client and auditor are satisfied and their accounts are finalized.
