 Responsible for planning, scheduling and executing the renewal of steel in ships as per quality standards and the requirement of the class of ship. Plan and execute all steel repairs on ships as per repair specifications issued. Prepare micro plans for jobs allocated to the department. Transact with purchase, materials stores and material handling department for procuring, issue collections and movement of material in the yard. Establish and maintain contact with the vessel’s engineer and representatives for providing any sort technical assistance which may be required. Randomly spot check on site for quality of welding, Quality of work, Safety and welder Qualification Ensure compliance with health, safety, Environmental and security (HSES) responsibility and also part of OHAS & EMS team Assist in preparation, Submission, monitoring, and control of additional work. Co-ordination with Planning department and production department to complete the erection according to master schedule Monitoring the progress of job, and concern with all departments for necessary things. Take the daily report from foreman/charge hand in the end of the day. & report to HOD/GM by email or personal meet. Conduct the meeting with sub-contractor in the presence of HOD for speedy work and good relationship
