Worked as a Technical Team Leader.Work:-• Built the core telephony infrastructure to make customizable bulk outbound calls/faxes.Involved designing several extensible scheduler and lcr daemons, work with the ISDN/PRIprotocol, telephony cards and softswitches. Also involved designing/developing the webfrontend for placing calls on this system, as well as a RESTful web API for the infras-tructure. - Built using Python/(Stackless) and C/C++.• Designed and implemented several Voice Apps based on the above infrastructure (inpython):- Virtual Call Center- Facebook Voicelet- IVR Studio for drag-n-drop IVR creation- SuperConference- Emergency Alerts over Telephone- Virtual Receptionist- Designed and wrote monitoring tools for internal telephony management.- Wrote generic caching modules to reduce DB hits in the architecture by > 90%- Wrote a http API to facilitate access to the above architecture's resources.• Small contributions to open source telephony projects like FreeSWITCH, OpenSIPS, libpri.(C/C++)• Integrated clusters with distributed databases with nodes over separate machines.• Basic speech detection using pocketsphinx,voicevault the CMU speech recognition software.
