Post Acqusition by Google - CDAP is offered as a managed service on GCP as a Data Fusion and CDAP still continues to be developed in open source. Responsible for developing the company’s long-term product and technology vision.Driving companies product and engineering initiatives and collaboration. Lead all Product and Engineering initiatives at Cask Data, Inc. Cask Data, provides industries first Unified Integration Platform for building data analytics applications and frameworks called CDAP (Cask Data Application Platform) for On-premise and Cloud. • Managing Product, Application, Support, and Operations teams for Cask• Owned the development of a technology and product roadmap for CDAP; work closely with customers to gather, triage, communicate and manage product roadmaps; involved with engineering to develop them.• Served as member of the executive team and board member, collaborated with other board members on definition, principles, launch, and evolution of Cask. • Evangelized technology at multiple technical conferences, webinars, meetups, customer or prospects.• Development of few major components of CDAP and Frameworks.• Worked closely with Sales, Marketing team and GTM on engagement and closing of key accounts; deeply involved in all account closures.• Supervised technology research and prototyping team. Designed and guided research projects aimed at creating break-through solutions for the company on CDAP; Developed products like Data Pipeline, Data Prep, Rules Engine, Micro service and Event Condition Action (ECA) system. • Worked closely with GTM team to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, partnerships (ISV, Hadoop Partners) for Cask technology outside of our traditional market; • Worked closely with GTM team to build up collaterals; developed white papers, presentations, blogs and infographics

• Oversee content optimization platform; created Events Data Collection to collecting user activity data in real time and a modeling framework to build online models for near real-time content optimization; achieved 270% improvement in user engagement for Yahoo front page resulting in incremental $20M revenues.• Deployed personalization as a product on 79 Yahoo properties resulting in additional 10% engagement.• Develop capabilities to deeply personalize content by implementing a ranking system to rank stories; a real-time dashboard to report performance; gathering explicit user feedback on stories of interest, and providing recommendations to gain user trust while doing personalization.• Manage prioritization of feature lists and engineering backlogs; develop user documentation working closely with the group of technical writers.• Improved modeling and scoring platform to support faster science experiments and systematically measuring the impact of tests; received “Your Rock Award”.• Developed process to ensure consistent weekly deployment of new services in 28 global data centers. • Pioneered use of HBase at scale for doing content optimization; engaged jointly with HBase open source community; presented at Hadoop User Group (HUG) • Mentor and coach engineers; lead performance reviews and remedial actions.Architect (2008 – 2009)• Developed and oversaw architecture of next-generation content optimization engine capable of processing vast amounts of data up to 100 GB every minute and supporting up to 2.5 billion ranking requests per day; achieved 75% improvement in user engagement on Yahoo front page; received ‘Yahoo Super Star’ award.• Created API's for ranking content and engaged with PM's to develop long term & short term architectural roadmaps; engaged with operations team in developing strategies to improve deployment processes.
