I am a degree qualified civil engineer with over 26 years of experience in team management, planning, project co-ordination and subcontractor management. I have also done two specialized master’s degree associated to construction safety and environmental engineering.My career in the civil engineering field commenced in 1997 as a research scholar and later as planner/project coordinator across three regions in the world, Australia, Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates (UAE). During my career I have been part of managing diverse projects which involved building and infrastructure works valued from 200 million to 3 billion USD. I have worked on major multidisciplinary projects in close liaison with the client and construction team.Throughout my twenty years of professional journey, I have maintained excellent interpersonal skills and shown an ability to quickly adapt to diverse work cultures across the world. My approach to the planning function is based on knowledge of construction methods, practices and manpower productivities within the context of safety regimes, interdisciplinary coordination and quality assurance. I have shown proactive problem-solving ability, and managed deliverables to agreed timeframes within changing environment.Much of my experience has included an aspect of diverse work cultures and practices which require different approaches to activities and planning/project coordination. During the past ten years I have been called on to provide more analytical and claims advice in regard to major projects with legacy issues in claims, arbitration and contract administration of key subcontractor packages. Other than planning discipline I have successfully implemented positive key performance indicators as a tool to measure construction safety within Leighton group in Australia and UAE.Since moving back to Brisbane back in 2015, I have worked with Tier 1 contractors in both delivery of infrastructure and building works and claims management roles.
