About Nitish Kumar

I am an adept researcher with over five years of experience in PEM fuel cell characterization, testing, and failure analysis. I have extensively researched PEM material failure using various robust characterization tools such as X-ray computed tomography. Over the years, I have worked with other researchers to develop unique methods to study the influence of external factors on PEM degradation and test mitigation strategies. Currently, I am working on developing a novel method of visualizing water inside the diffusion layers. This involves creating a 3D-printed device and advanced image visualization methods. Previous and current projects involved productive and constructive collaboration between industries, like Ballard Power Systems and the research lab. The research will extensively benefit the zero-emission mission embarked on by countries worldwide. Moreover, I am competent in my collaborative and communication skills to work through interdisciplinary groups. With a curious mind, I look for more innovative and scientific tools for delivering quantifiable accepted data to analyze the root cause of the problem. Throughout my ten-year career, I have worked on green energy technology and become more passionate with every passing year.
