Maintenance and TroubleshootingAssist in the maintenance and repair of electrical systems related to the SAF.Troubleshoot electrical faults in transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), and power supply units.Ensure reliable operation of furnace control systems, protection devices, and power distribution networks.2. Furnace Operation MonitoringAssist in monitoring electrical parameters such as voltage, current, and power factor during furnace operation.Ensure that the furnace operates within safe electrical limits and help prevent overload or electrical faults.3. Automation Systems SupportAssist with the control and automation systems (PLC/SCADA) used to monitor and regulate furnace processes.Work on the integration and maintenance of sensors, actuators, and communication networks within the furnace.4. Safety and ComplianceEnsure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.Assist in performing regular electrical safety inspections and risk assessments.Follow strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).5. Electrical Installations and CommissioningHelp in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment, including transformers, rectifiers, and control panels.Participate in upgrading and retrofitting existing systems to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the furnace.6. Coordination with Other DepartmentsCollaborate with mechanical and metallurgical teams to ensure smooth operation and integration of electrical systems with the overall furnace operations.Coordinate with external vendors for electrical component procurement and repair services.7. Documentation and ReportingAssist in maintaining records of electrical maintenance schedules, inspection reports, and incident logs.Prepare electrical system performance reports, providing insights for continuous improvement.
