I am a Master of Law graduate specializing in Taxation, with a keen interest in Tax assessment cases and appeals, as well as Tax practice and litigation. My objective is to secure a challenging position with a Tax Advocate or Tax Law Firm where I can leverage my legal expertise and provide value-added services.I have qualified for the All India Bar Examination – 16 and received the Certificate of Practice in February 2022, and also completed various certificate courses, including an Advanced Course on Income Tax Assessment and Appeals by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India and Advanced Corporate and Tax Litigation. Presently, I am pursuing an Advanced Course on GST Audit and Assessment Procedure by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India.In my previous job experiences, I have provided comprehensive support to my seniors in all aspects of the Income Tax law practice, including research, drafting, filing, and representation of clients before the Income Tax authorities. I have also replied to the notices sent by the Assessing Officer via the Income Tax Department web portal, appealed against the Assessment order to the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals), and appealed against the CIT(A) order to the ITAT. I have also gone to the office of the Assessing Officer, CIT(A), and the ITAT for submissions and queries, including basic tally entry, legal writing, conducting legal research for assessment and appeals, handling GST, Income tax, and MCA portals, and providing investment advice to clients by selecting the best stocks based on their risk appetite."Currently, I work as a Junior Advocate at Calcutta High Court from April 2023. In this role, I assist my senior Advocate by preparing case files, organizing important dates and events, drafting writ petitions and summarizing cases. I do research to find relevant laws and past cases to support our legal arguments. I also accompany my senior to Calcutta High Court, help during arguments, and observe court proceedings.
