Research assistant with Northeastern University’s Dr. Brennan Klein. We have completed a paper on our research, in which I am a co-author. The paper is under peer review. Our research focuses on how the US states passed resolutions during the 2020 COVID lockdown to release certain inmates from their correction facilities, and how there may be a racial bias against non-white prisoners. and prisons based on criteria that they deemed appropriate. However, we found there was a bias in how the criteria were defined to release prisoners which had a potential negative on impact on non-white prisoners.
