As an intern in the office of Councilmember Sridhar Verose, I am actively involved in supporting the councilmember's re-election campaign, playing a crucial role in community outreach and engagement efforts in San Ramon. My responsibilities include conducting comprehensive research on local and state legislations, preparing briefs to keep the team informed, and assisting in the organization of community events that aim to increase public engagement with the councilmember’s initiatives.This position has provided me with invaluable insights into the dynamics of political campaigns and the importance of community involvement in governance. I am learning essential skills in public speaking, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications, all while contributing to the strengthening of community relations and supporting the councilmember's vision for sustainable and equitable community development. Through this experience, I am not only enhancing my understanding of civic leadership but also actively participating in the democratic process.

As the President of the Bring Change to Mind (BC2M) club at California High School, I am deeply committed to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. Through this leadership role, I spearhead initiatives that foster open conversations and educational activities aimed at enhancing mental health awareness among students and faculty. Our club's efforts extend beyond just discussions; we organize events, workshops, and campaigns that empower our community to understand and support mental health issues effectively.My passion for mental health advocacy is driven by a personal mission to see a world where mental health is prioritized and discussed with the same openness as physical health. Working alongside our advisor, Rochelle Goldenberg, and a dedicated team of peers, we strive to create a supportive environment where everyone feels safe to share their experiences and seek help.Through BC2M, I have developed strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, which have been instrumental in coordinating with school administrators, managing team projects, and leading club meetings. I am eager to leverage these skills further as I explore opportunities to impact mental health policy and community engagement on a larger scale.
