Enthusiastic and a motivated scientific professional who likes learning and researching in the field of vaccine development and infectious diseases. My interest began in academia with my PhD in developing and standardizing immunoassays for identification and quantitation of Neisseria meningitidis antigens for vaccine development (mono- and multi-valent). I continued my scientific journey with postdoctoral training at Vaccine Analytics and Formulation Center, Department of pharmaceutical chemistry in University of Kansas. During that time I worked on design and development of multi-dose formulations of Human papillomaviruses (HPV) containing preservative combinations that included screening of different pharmaceutically acceptable preservatives, accelerated and real-time stability studies using different assays. I also worked on the next-generation immunogens using analytical characterization, developability and adjuvant formulation experiments for malaria vaccine.Over the last few years, I have worked independently and also in teams. I have not only improved my scientific background but have highly developed organizational, management and interpersonal skills. I also did a Diploma in project management to further improve on leading a project, designing studies, goal-setting, team work and to be able to systematically break a larger problem into smaller chunks of manageable work that will eventually lead to completion of the entire project in time. I have also gained extensive experience in communicating complex scientific data/concepts to our collaborators and other experts. I am extremely passionate about scientific communication and creating a bridge between scientific and clinical research and patients. Apart from work I love traveling, hiking, running (just ran a half marathon), yoga (starting yoga teacher training soon), cooking Indian food (love hosting) and painting (mostly to gift).
