Niveda Mahesh is a sophomore (Class of 2027) and Park Scholar at North Carolina State University.Niveda is currently majoring in Environmental Engineering. She is focused on the areas of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability. Her specific areas of interest are Circular Economy, Sustainable Packaging, Climate Change, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).As an active Girl Scout since 2013, she is very deeply involved in the local community. Her accomplishments include:- Completed the Gold Award in 2022 (the highest honor in Girl Scouts) in partnership with McDonald's, which focuses on reducing food wastage in local restaurants.- Completed the Silver Award in 2018 focused on educating and conducting recycling drives at local restaurants and fire stations.Niveda is also the Founder and President of 4Girls 4Change, a student-led non-profit organization driven to create long-term and sustainable change, which they believe starts with the local community.Her other accomplishments include being President of the National Honor Society and competing as a three-sport varsity athlete on the crew, basketball, and field hockey teams.
