The Great African Caravan is the first major travel project by the Art Caravan Association. 12 international artists from all around the globe (India, Argentina, Britain, Uganda, Germany, Kenya and Kosovo) travelled for 7 months from Cape Town to Cairo passing through 10 African countries (South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt). In each country we collaboratively worked with local artists on a specific Sustainable Development Goals using art as a holistic, inspiring, and raising tool.Job Summary- PR and liaising with media houses in 4 African countries and globally to create awareness of the journey- Maintenance of organization website and managing social media platforms and blog- Writing book about the caravan journey- Organized and facilitated a creative writing workshop in Nairobi to generate content around the SDG’s- Organising showcase events in the different countries where we presented artistic collaborations worked on

The Media Challenge Initiative (MCI) is a youth-driven non-profit, building the next generation of journalists and media innovators in Africa through training, mentorship, and experiential peer-to-peer learning.Job Summary- Oversee implementation of the Media Viability Project that MCI coordinates in Uganda as part of an East Africa Project Partnership with DW Akademie, Aga Khan University and Tanzania Media Foundation. Activities include the Innovators in Residence Program, Media Traineeship Program, Media Viability Talks, EAST Conference Planning and East Africa Storytelling website…- Community lead at new flagship MCI Media Innovation Hub. Development and implementation of the hub operations strategy. Coordinating various sub-projects within its, including events, audio and video productions.

The European Union co-funded project “Great Lakes Youth Network for Dialogue and Peace” is based on the conviction that youth are a fundamental agent. It is therefore creating a strong network of peers and good contacts with other relevant actors to promote the positive, cooperative, and active role of the youth voice in the Great Lakes sub-region. I was part of a team of consultants assembled by Sunshine Projects to work on a Belgian Development Agency Project to review specific equipment needs and preparation of the technical specifications for specific equipment to be delivered in 48 education and health organizations in Uganda.
