About Nick Weir

As the Head of Federal Delivery at Yurts, a Generative AI startup, I lead a team of data scientists and engineers who deliver our innovative AI platform for our government customers. With a PhD in Biochemistry and more than six years of experience in the Machine Learning space, I have a strong scientific background and a passion for solving complex problems with data and algorithms.My expertise spans a wide range of ML domains, from computer vision and NLP to Generative AI and LLMs, and from biochemistry and geospatial to cybersecurity and healthcare. I enjoy finding ways to leverage the latest advances in ML to deliver outcomes faster, better, and more cost-effectively for our clients.
