As a recent graduate of the University of Houston with a B.S. in Political Science and a minor in Law, Values, and Policy, I have a keen interest in the intersection of law, politics, and social justice. I have honed my analytical, research, and writing skills through various academic projects and courses, such as Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Family Law, Public Policy, and Political Economy.I have also gained valuable hands-on experience in the legal field as an intern for the Harris County Public Defender's Office Holistic Division, where I assisted with client advocacy, document management, and legal research. At the HCPDO, I learned how to apply my knowledge of the criminal justice system with a holistic approach to defense, which considers the social and economic factors that affect clients and their communities. Additionally, I have developed and improved my interpersonal communication, teamwork, and time management skills as a professional in the sales and service industries.
