Eternal Memoria aims to add digital content to the traditional memorial or cemetery experience. Utilising QR code technology to provide an interactive and ongoing legacy for your loved ones for all time, Eternal Memoria will allow loved ones to upload photos, documents, audio and video to an online server, which can then be accessed via an internet connected smart device. The user will scan a QR code on a headstone to view an archive of material that will be displayed on the smart device.Users can also use the QR code to download an app so that when they look through their smart device – preferably a tablet – a video is overlaid across the headstone, turning the surface of the headstone into a “virtual Screen” providing a much more interactive experience. Eternal Memoria is also looking at exploring the potential opportunities with war memorials to make them “more immersive” for visitors and expand the commercialisation of memorials globally.
