Administration of organization’s VMware environment consisting of Cisco UCS blade servers connected to IBM XIV SAN storage. Management of Exchange 2010 e-mail system and Active Directory. Deployed a DFS solution for replicating shares on 120 servers at material yards throughout the Western USA back to the corporate data center for data resiliency and backup.

Contracted through Sourceright to Blue Shield of California for work on their Shield Storage project. Utilized CIFS shares on NetApp filers to migrate corporate file shares from aging Windows file servers to new shares within a DFS namespace. Deployed Varonis DatAdavantage to reach compliance with HIPPA requirements for auditing of all file server activity, and Varonis DataPrivilege to enable business units to control access to their shared data.

Deployment and management of VMware vSphere 4.1 virtualization environment consisting of HP blade servers HP MSA SAN storage. Upgraded the environment to ESXi 5.0 while maintaining 100% uptime. Migrated corporate email system from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. Administration of Citrix Presentation/Xen Server environment. Management of corporate network including Cisco routers, Cisco ASAs, and Cisco and HP switches. Supervised the Desktop Support teams in Reno, NV and Chicago, IL.

Deployment and management of a Lucent LCS Class 5 carrier-grade telecommunications equipment. Migrated all carrier connections and client connections from legacy switching equipment to the new LCS equipment. Assisted with the deployment and administration of a Broadsoft VoIP solution to provide clients with hosted VoIP services, and SIP trunks.
