Based in the Social Policy Research Centre, I am currently employed as a Research Assistant on a large EU-funded (FP-7) project on Reducing Early School Leaving in Europe (RESL.eu). This five year study (2013-18) involves nine EU member states and collects new empirical data from almost 20,000 young people across Europe. As a member of the UK team, I have been coordinating the quantitative element of the project, comprising the design, implementation and analysis of two large-scale surveys of students and young people.In addition, my role involves participating in other research collaborations across the university. I have also undertaken teaching at an undergraduate and postgraduate level, including modules on Quantitative Research Methods, Statistical Data for Social Science Research and Approaches To Research In the Social Sciences.My research interests include: educational transitions, social inequalities, migration and diversity, research methods, mentoring and coaching.
