About Nikhil Kalathil, Phd

Creative, curious, and ambitious: a problem solver with diversified interests and demonstrated leadership capabilities across multiple disciplines. I have experience mapping, forecasting, and influencing technological change. I have focused on examining the emergence of disruptive technological competition, on regional innovation strategy planning to facilitate economic development, and on mapping supply chains to measure systemic risk and opportunities for improvement. My work has two key dimensions: 1) identifying and forecasting expansion pathways for emergent technologies based on the product, market, and policy environments; and 2) exploring the co-evolution between technologies and societies to design efficient and equitable technology systems. I am currently focusing on manufacturing, R&D, and the intersection of firm strategy and regional/national policy.
