Structural inspections – Consists of fabricated steel (Welding), on site (static & dynamic structures) integrity and root cause analysis of failures in bulk material handling equipment.

• Planning, organizing, leading and controlling of all mechanical engineering related activities including design and implementation of technical projects• Supervise and manage the drawing office and workshop personnel• Maintain quality management system • Mechanical Computer Aided Design (CAD) by means of Solid Edge CAD Software• Improving the performance and efficiency of existing products• Training of staff in all aspects of mechanical design work • Administration and control of divisional budgets• Management of maintenance and repairs• Assist in scheduling manufacturing magnet coils • Ensuring health and safety procedures are carried out

• Liaise with suppliers and perform supplier’s manufacturing process development (understand flow of processes) • Give advice to production regarding buy or make options • Screening data packs for Best Manufacturing Practices • Managing the overlap between Design For Manufacturing and Prepare For Manufacturing against the product production strategy • Take technical ownership of Data pack • Provide support to manufacturing manager • Problem solving during the production process – self and facilitate with subject specialists • Optimize production processes and efficiencies• Ownership of technical problems identified, managing these problems through the FRACA system and implement corrective and preventative actions

• Taking ownership of the detailed design/improvement of components and sub assemblies.• Defining design requirements and specifications. • Generating and presenting design concepts and preliminary cost estimates.• Applying a systematic approach to evaluate and compare different design options.• Generating and managing the generation of a design data pack (including technical specifications, design calculations, mathematical/numerical models, 3D CAD models, 2D manufacturing drawings, correspondence, bills of material, sign-off documentation and other supporting information).• Performing design data pack sign-off activities in accordance with sign off procedures.• Managing medium sized projects from start through to sign-off (including project planning, resource leveling and technical leadership).• Participating in the creation and execution of product verification/validation plans.• Providing engineering assistance during the manufacture of prototype and pre-production machines and/or components.• Providing technical support to other cross functional teams, the manufacturing facility and other internal or external customers.

• Mechanical designing and developing of airframe and subassemblies(missiles, containers, stands).• Mechanical problem solving and manufacturing development support.• Completing the required documentation on all designs and components (data pack).• Assisting CAD designers in 3-D modeling design (Pro-E).• Procuring, integrating and testing assemblies and subassemblies on airframes and missile systems.• Project and task management of mechanical designing, development and integration of airframes.• Liaising with clients as to specifications, capabilities and jigs.

• Developing and presenting ISIR submissions to the customer on the introduction of new projects and on engineering changes.• Customer liaison with regard to quality issues on existing and new projects.• Technical support to production and quality control.• Developing component inspection planning, instructions and visual aids.• Development of an engineering test and audit plan in line with data identified by capability studies, statistical process control and FMEA’s.• Maintain on an ongoing basis the quality management system with regards to customer requirements. i.e. ISO9002, VDA6, QS9000 and MS9000.• Liaise with departments to obtain timeous technical information and ensure its relevant utilization in plastic product development.• Generate process input sheets to define process steps and cycle times.• Develop work instructions, process FMEA’s, and control plans on products to ensure conformance to specification at design release and ongoing production.• Assess current plastic components and processes in view of design improvements, process optimization and cost reduction.• To ensure a high standard in the introduction of new jigs, fixtures, facilities and equipment in the manufacturing plant.
