When no new opportunities arose at Praxis, I decided to make a jump to the industry I always wanted to work in. As a studio manager for a digital agency specialized in UX and UI, I made sure that everything in the office itself ran smoothly, using the management and admin skills I had made my own.The tasks were ranging from bookkeeping to admin for clients, co-workers and the studio, creating studio culture and helping expats settle in the Netherlands — making me embrace the Jack-of-all-Trades aspect of the job. The Artificial has been an amazing company to teach me the ins-and-outs with great guidance and gave me a chance to grow and specialise.Activities include:— Admin (Financial, studio, partner and expat help),— Create (financial) reports, protocols and backlogs,— Assist partners and coworkers in their workflow,— Planner for studio trips, location renovation, and relocation of the studio,— Personal assistant to partners,— Translator and assistant for all expat coworkers and studio (only Dutch native in the studio),— Office upkeep.

As a Senior I was a part of the team that was sent to stores that weren't doing well. I started in Sales but soon developed management skills to change teams that were all over the place to teams that were in it to win it (which one even did! We won the 'Team of the Year' award from the 271 teams.) Add bookkeeping, training new coworkers and interns, customer service and sales to the mix making this an exciting journey and learning experience.Activities include:— Schedule planning staff,— Process talks with team members,— Hosting daily stand-up,— Admin (financial, payroll, backlog, archiving)— Order upkeep,— Host interns and employees of reintegration programs,— Protocol creator with feedback moments for team members,— Customer support.

Next to being a student, I started working in a hardware store in the evenings so I could focus on my studies over the weekend. It soon changed in also working the weekends and learning more and more. Starting at the register, I soon changed to customer service, problem solving, bookkeeping and sales before being picked up for the Power team that would back-up stores that weren't doing too well.
