I am a loyal and passionate advocate for organisations that make a difference. With over a decade of experience running a research office and over 15 years experience in the research industry, I am an expert at all stages of grant management process.During my career I have submitted >1000 applications to >50 funders, giving me an excellent understanding of all aspects of the grant application process, and a good perspective of what goes into a successful grant. Post-award, I have typically overseen the management of ~$12m in grant funding each year, assisting recipients from all aspects from variations, reporting and budgeting and financials.I have applied this experience in the development and operation of a new grant scheme at a charity that funds cancer research. This scheme has been developed to be streamlined and efficient, minimising the impact on the sector while achieving all organisational information needs.I have a strong efficiency focus, utilising continuous development principles to develop, document and refine business processes to minimise data entry and facilitate reporting. In my career I have built grant programs, designed grant management systems, and established a team project management system.I have a warm and collaborative personality, with well developed soft-skills forged from both experience and education. I am a well regarded leader, both via my rapport with my direct reports and through my contributions to complex multi-department or cross-institutional projects.
