As the Tax Specialist for strategy, planning and advisory, I am responsible for driving sustainable tax strategy and policies, championing key decisions that maximize business efficiencies and value preservation in the Group. This also involves navigation and compliance in complex legal, regulatory, and tax terrain in Nigeria and beyond for strategic planning and business efficiency re-organization. As the Group Lead transfer pricing and contracts, I direct managers in over 14 sub-companies to develop robust and efficient transfer pricing strategies, compliance and documentation. I ensure compliance with country by country reporting requirements and also oversee the management of transfer pricing audit for the group.

As the Finance Business Partner for Procurement, I supported the Leadership Team in matters of controls & governance, risk, value creation and cost management. I also oversaw the costing and transfer pricing process integrity, controls and systems as well as innovations validation.

Positions held include: Finance Coordinator (Related Party Transactions); Tax Accounting Coordinator; Compliance Team Lead; Legal Support Counsel (West Africa); and Records Management Coordinator (West Africa).In these various positions, I managed over 30 functional records coordinators across West Africa to deliver records management as an embedded organisational culture; managed business and accounting processes to ensure effective controls and increased accuracy rate for reporting related party transactions; managed the translation and integration of business processes, data and operating environment requirements into the tax reporting systems as part of internal controls; delivered risk and compliance assurance on effectiveness of control procedures that improve Leadership’s response to identified risk areas
