In my role I oversee all things revolving around the Pier 1 Imports "Brand," including training of new employees, opening and closing procedures, ordering of supplies, and coaching to policies. I organize and oversee all markdowns, event updates, and floor sets as well as assist in leading inventory counts. My job also requires me to build relationships with customers through excellent customer service, creating brand loyalty.

As a sales leader, I managed the stores "Operations" division. My responsibilities included merchandising and freight flow, opening and closing procedures, providing excellent customer service, and coaching my team on Pier 1 standards.

Interning at Wagstaff I worked on client accounts in the hospitality industry, gaining hands-on experience in research, writing, pitching, and media relations.

I worked with 118 member cities and municipalities helping in public relations, marketing, and tourism efforts. For SIMA I created media contact lists, created and published a quarterly newsletter, designed logos for events, photographed meetings and cities, wrote tourism articles, and published press releases while managing my own schedule and hours log. I also created content for social media and e-mails.

While with Pyramid PR, I under the Saluki Screen Repair, Eccentrics Boutique, and Carbondale Main Street accounts with each client's work differing. I created flyers and information cards, gauged customer needs and shopping experience, promoted events, set up tables around the SIU campus, interacted with consumers, created content for social media, and promoted events.

I was selected into the competitive spring break internship where I shadowed in the consumer and market engagement office as well as the communications division. I assisted in giving tours, hosting international clients, and working events on site.
