I am responsible for planning and purchasing stock requirements in line with budgeted sales forecasts at the best price, terms and in line with quality specifications for delivery where and when required, in order to ensure continuity of supply and to determine and capture accurate costs for all products in the portfolio.IndustriesProcurement Specification• Plan requirements and purchases in line with budgeted forecasts and sales history• Prepare forward order schedules clearly indicating quantities required & delivery dates and forward to suppliers• Negotiate best price, terms, quality and most cost effective mode of transport• Place orders and capture on system.• Expedite orders weekly and review quantities required & delivery dates• Regularly up-date all interested parties of changes in the forward order schedules• Source and purchase non-stock items and consumables in line with laid down company procedures.• Receiving and recording Trial Seed

Responsibilities:• Purchase stock items by examining the re-order report together with any additional information supplied by Product Line Managers.• Purchase non-stock items upon receipt of a requisition from branches and user departments• Negotiate prices and settlement terms with suppliers• Expedite outstanding orders• Investigate new sources of supply and service existing suppliers to ensure continuity of supply• Maintain shipping files and liaise with forwarding and clearing agents• Follow up accounting queries• Assist buyer to obtain quotations and relevant information for any purchases as and when necessary;• Assist buyer to complete the Rema Tip Top procurement processes as appropriate, and comply with the Rema Tip Top procurement policy at all times;• Use the procurement system (Accpac) efficiently and effectively to place orders.• Facilitate the registration of new suppliers/ customers onto the system in conjunction with the finances offices• Update staff on progress relating to their orders;• Completing of credit applications.
