Develop and implement the Department’s strategic and operational plans and objectives.Develop, approve and monitor the Department’s budgets.Identify human resources requirements of the Department and develop plan for meeting the requirements.Lead the development, implementation and review of departmental policies and procedures.Review, approve and submit Departmental reports to relevant organs.Support the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, on-going performance dialogue and feedback.Manage disciplinary concerns of the Department’s staff.Represent the Company in external relationships related with the Department.Participate in-group decision-making processes by forming part of different groups/committees

Responsible for technical evalution of cement plantEnsure optimization of costsProcess optimization and problem savingDriver implementation of alternative fuelsCoaching and development of Process engineers and Process controllers

Oversee the development of production plans and control work schedules.Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to give guidance on the determination of personnel and materials requirements.Lead the Planning and control delivery of supplies or raw materials to expedite flow of materials to meet production schedules.Oversee the aggregate plan of raw meal, clinker preparation, pyro-processing, packing and despatchDiscuss with department managers to assess progress and discuss on needed changes.Oversee schedule changes in the department due to design changes, labour or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions.Lead and follow up the preparation of documents related to planning and optimization, production sequences, production rates and progress.Oversee the regular grinding and packing process and provide assistance and direction to the division.Develop tactical plans on overall production function of the plant.Ensure production department is performing as per the plan derived from the Head, Operations functionBudget planning and managementEnsure the safety procedures are implemented in all the units of production and everyone in their work place has a safe working condition.
