Nicolas Kiet Quach is an Alhambra Library Trustee, student, and education advocate who works to fight for education justice through coalition building and power shifting to young people. He is also deeply involved in the Democratic Party & brings years of experience in electoral work working on campaigns and PACs. He began his professional career working Alhambra Mayor Sasha Renee Perez, where he ran communications and youth engagement for the Mayor. In 2022, he joined Student Voice as the Communications Coordinator and Student Voice Strategies Consultant and in 2023, was promoted as Executive Director of Communications, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to advance educational equity through its work with students across the nation. During the 2022 Election, he worked as the Field Director for the Project Super Bloom PAC. He recently ran Senator Sasha Renee Perez's campaign for State Senate in 2024. Nicolas serves as the elected President of the Library Board of Trustees on the City of Alhambra Library Board of Trustees. Quach made history as youngest Library Trustee in the United States. Prior to his appointment to the Library Board, he served three terms as President of the City of Alhambra Youth Commission. Through his work with Student Voice, Nicolas represents the organization on the Race Forward H.E.A.L Together Advisory Board, an initiative built upon the belief that an honest, accurate, and fully funded public education is the foundation for a just, multiracial democracy. Nicolas also served on the Youth Advisory Council for Save the Children U.S., a non-profit that works to improve the lives of children in the United States and around the world. In addition to his civic and nonprofit work, Nicolas served as the Los Angeles Regional Director of the California Young Democrats and Statewide President of the California High School Democrats.
