  Responsible for 60 operators, maintenance techs, and support staff and $25M in operations and maintenance budget. Provide leadership to ensure that the mission, strategic goals, and core values are executed. Oversee and participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Sewer System Plants goals, objectives, policies and procedures; ensures that goals are achieved.Work with Cities served to maintain regional cooperation, communicate proactively, address challenges, and develop and implement solutions to provide superior wastewater services.Responsible for the preparation and management of the Sewer System Plants annual budgets.Work with plant supervisors and personnel to operate and maintain the facilities to improve reliability, optimize investments, and achieve regulatory compliance.Responsible for the identification of capital project needs, coordinate with Planning and Engineering departments in successful execution of capital improvements, and facilitate hand-off of projects to facility staff.Communicate effectively with staff, NTMWD Management, Board of Directors, other departments, regulatory agencies, Cities served, and other groups and/or committees as needed.Directly supervise staff, including hiring, performance evaluations and coaching to support development.Create and sustain a culture where safety is lived out as a core value.
