I graduated from the University of Miami in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication, double major in journalism and international studies. By nature I am a dreamer with big goals, and now that I have graduated I plan to work towards an international career. I strive to protect human/animal rights and the environment using my skills in communications, journalism, writing, photography, art, web and graphic design. Some of my future goals include working and volunteering abroad, serving in the Peace Corps, underwater photography, and ocean advocacy. I began working at age 16. A decade later, I have developed valuable skills that one can only achieve through experience and go beyond the margins of a one-page resume. These skills include, but are not limited to, customer service, serving, sales, promotions, reception, public relations, social media marketing, communications, writing, photography, and design. For six months in 2015 I served as an AmeriCorps member, working with elementary-age children at the Goodman Community Center in Madison, Wisconsin. I was honored to be able to share and teach my talents, passions, and wisdom to kids. During my service, we made a group trip to New Orleans for an entire week of volunteering on various Hurricane Katrina recovery projects. I am currently working on freelancing my work, building my portfolio and blog (www.ccenlighten.com), paying off debts (i.e. student loans!), and saving money for my future goals.
