Senior executive responsible for the performance of a UK based, privately owned manufacturer of Conveyor Chains which are sold world wide. Accountable for the formulation and subsequent execution of business strategy to ensure the longevity of the company. The nurturing and growth of key accounts across the business-to-business (B2B) sector remains a crucial part to the role in securing the long term future for the company. In addition to overseeing all business functions, I also retain overall responsibility for setting the company approach to both Health and Safety and Human Resources. Key Achievements in this role include; - Securing of long term Framework Contracts with Transport for London.- Diversification of product range offering to key markets. - Overseeing the company transition to ISO 9001:2015.

With a focus on growing the domestic and overseas sales, I held responsibility for maintaining a balanced order book, to ensure that the distriubtion of work, lead time requirements and sales order value remained optimised to the manufacturing resources available. I also held responsibility for ensuring that the type of representation across the globe remained aligned to both our own, and our customers needs. This was achieved through regular visits to market, attendance at key trade shows and offering technical recommendations to relevant industry representatives. This market insight allowed me to subsequently take ownership of a programme of plant optimisation and the recruitment and training of personnel to ensure that we could honour the long term relationships we strive to achieve with our customers.

Working directly with the end user and liaising with our own technical department, this role allowed me to strengthen our business relationships, building trust and reinforcing our reputation as a supplier of first choice across our customers technical and commercial departments. This role also allowed me to conduct an in depth value analysis of several key product lines allowing us to reduce waste and cost, whilst increasing throughput and keeping manufacture in house. This has since resulted in the acquisition on new machine tools to meet an increased, global customer demand.
