The Laidlaw Undergraduate Research and Leadership Development Scholarship aims to develop a new generation of leaders who are skilled researchers, embrace data-based decision-making, and believe it is a moral imperative to lead with integrity. It invests in highly talented and motivated undergraduates, giving them the knowledge, skills and experience to become active global citizens and future leaders.The programme has four components: a six-week summer research project, leadership development training, a leadership-in-action programme during the second summer where scholars put their leadership theory into practice in new and challenging environments, and global networking through an online community of international scholars and real-world events.Across the summer, I will be conducting research on Imposter Syndrome in Higher Education under the supervision of Dr Michelle Addison, Professor Vikki Boliver, and Dr Órla Murray.

As Photography Editor, I have helped the Indigo team to set up a photography section. Using my photography portfolio and sourcing content from the student population, I have since produced articles on topics such as autumn, Valentine’s Day, and international culture.I am also working towards providing the paper with a stock photography library to use for the foreseeable future by compiling and organising my personal portfolio of 30k+ photos down to several hundred freely usable, widely relevant images.

Across the summer, I acted as a supervisor at Martin’s newsagents store. The role included supervising the store, customer service, operating tills, cashing up, and closing the store.
