- Primarily responsible for designing and maintaining a private MPLS network to support internal communications for We Energies- Migrated IP/MPLS core from OSPF to IS-IS to support growing network with minimal downtime- Develop internal network automation tools to help standardize and increase efficiency of new site deployments- Tested and implemented system to migrate Zetron paging system (Model 600 and 620s) from RS232 to IP - Perform advanced testing and troubleshooting on Nokia MPLS platform- Responsible for RS232 Circuit Bridging design and deployment. As a college intern in the Telecom department (Radio/Microwave group), I was responsible for mapping the various radio and fiber networks, setting up and configuring WiMAX radios, installing and maintaining multiple monitoring systems. I also assisted the Voice group doing MAC work, Preventative Maintenance on PBX systems at Service Centers.– Tested and deployed various Network Monitoring Systems, including GE MDS PulseNET, Harris Farscan, Cambium Wireless Adviser, and Statseeker– Added the ability to Cambium's Wireless Adviser to monitor RuggedMAX radios.– Managed Project to install Serial to IP converters at microwave sites throughout Wisconsin and Michigan, which allowed for PulseNET to monitor older radios– Managed GIS mapping of radio circuits (DA, MAS, paging, two-way radio, microwave, and fiber planning) using ESRI ArcGIS which provided visual representations of the different systems to assit in usage and future planning– Audited circuits to determine which leased circuits could be moved to the private network and reducing O&M– Assembled and setup many different types of radios (inluding Cambium Canopy, Aviat IRU, Avtec Scout, GE MDS radios) for testing and to ease field deployment
