Hi, I had a great time studying at the University of Chester where I achieved First Class honours in Geography. I am now keen to bring my knowledge and skills to a graduate role in sustainability, land surveying and customer service.Throughout my time at University, I was really Interested in learning more about sustainability and the approaches we can take to achieve more sustainable lifestyles. Learning about sustainability helped me become familiar with sustainable solutions and has provided me with the confidence to consult sustainable initiatives with clients. I was also fascinated by a module I completed called Smart Places. In this module, I became intrigued about what makes the city smart and how the emergence of smart technologies can help cities in the face of overpopulation and climate change. During my final year at University, I completed a research methods-based dissertation exploring the variations in public perceptions of Fracking in Cheshire. With the use of an online questionnaire, I was able to statistically analyse support and opposition for Fracking and discover what socio-demographic factors influenced the respondents’ perception of Fracking.I am currently working at Next Retail plc which has given me great insight into a fast-paced working environment. This job has required me to work directly with the public and take on challenges such as customer issues and complaints whilst also dealing with restocking, stock taking and serving. I began working at Next as a new starter but was quickly asked to become a permanent member following a great performance review.A hardworking and self-motivated person.
