Dissertation was an autoethnographic exploration of my lived experiences as an academic from a rural, white working-class family and included interviews and fieldwork with family and hometown community members. Have published work in mainstream communication journals and niche qualitative journals along with presenting on 20+ paper panels at national and regional conferences. A member of the National Communication Association, Iowa Communication Association, and Congress of Qualitative Inquiry.
