Manage company’s health and safety department for two separate 24/7 manufacturing facilities with 300+ employees that include office, production, temporary employees in Columbus and Wilmington, OH. Handle and managed all Worker’s Compensation claims by working with the Third Party Administrator. Instituted a new return-to-work program that included working with local non-profits to accommodate employee’s restrictions. Track and communicate all safety metrics, analysis, and trends. Implemented all safety, risk management and security programs and initiatives through partnering with all department managers. Initial contact for all injuries and severe incidents to provide guidance, collect information, and ensure that proper measures are taken. Performed hazard analysis for all departments to implement engineering, administrative controls and proper PPE selections. Conduct investigations involving near misses, incidents and accidents and ensured appropriate corrective actions were taken. Lead the safety committee by coordinating meetings, agenda, and action items/ideas follow through. Developed and facilitated safety training that included required topics, as well as address current issues. Point of contact for OSHA, EPA, and local officials during inspections and audits. Compiled and submitted data required for annual reporting that includes TIER II and TRI reports. Maintain and manage NPDES permits, storm water inspections, and air permits.
