I founded Exquisite Page in April 2023 and manage all of its daily operations. -Creates content for social media marketing, scopes out potential business opportunities, and promotes company growth. -Reviews manuscripts received and informs clients of proposed timeline, level of editing required, and investment level. -Works with writers at every stage of the publication process, from developmental editing to copyediting and proofreading. Provides guidance for self-publishing.-Ensures company maintains compliance and follows all legal and tax guidelines.

I provided front-end support to students and families applying for Federal, State, and Institutional Financial Aid.-Educated students on various sources of aid, requirements to maintain aid, and next steps in paying their remaining balance, such as institutional payment plan options, outside scholarships, and supplemental loans.-Reviewed subsequent ISIR transactions for changes to aid eligibility and discrepant information. -Verified information inputted on the FAFSA against submitted documents, including but not limited to, Signed Federal Tax Returns, W-2’s, Dependent Verification Forms, and Asset Verification Forms, and released necessary corrections to the Department of Education.

I provided general assistance and supported the Student Billing team of Southwestern Assemblies of God University. -Communicated with students whose accounts were past due, and called students who had overpayments that were about to expire. -Added notes and holds to student accounts, and conducted weekly petty cash audits. -Received student payments and added payments to their respective billing batches. -Scanned and uploaded documents onto student portals. Accomplishments:Two of the biggest projects I worked on as a student worker were the VA Audit and the Federal Perkins Loans project. -For the VA audit, I assisted the VA coordinator in gathering documentation for approximately one hundred VA students and in uploading VA policies. -For the Federal Perkins Loan project, I perused through the files of hundreds of former students who had accepted Perkins Loans. These files dated from the early 1970s to the mid 2010s. The Federal government had requested all of the information our office had pertaining to these students so that they could collect loan payments. Some of the requested information included students’ names, dates of birth, dates of loan disbursements, and last dates of attendance. I was the longest-serving student worker in several years.

For my internship, I worked with a team of editors to publish the Spring 2020 edition of the university’s creative e-journal, The Image. -Solicited for submissions, accepted or denied submissions, edited student works, and communicated with authors and fellow editors throughout the process. -Adapted, improvised, and overcame the unforeseen challenges of publishing during the quarantine.
