Planned, coordinated, and executed many varied test and production tasks as the project manager. Testfixture design focused on manufacturability and reusability. The position required continualcoordination with support personnel, vendors, and customers alike. I performed the test design and source specification as well as much of the test execution itself. These efforts produced flight hardware, qualified flight designs, and provided development test data to influence flight design decisions.

Supported an aggressive design and drawing release schedule for a variety of components, includingmechanisms, metallic structures, composite structures, thermal control structures, and higher level assemblies. Coordinated with subcontractors to establish interface control documents and to verify requirement compliance. Coordinated design changes across organizations to assess cost and schedule impact.Modeled temperature distributions of a spacecraft component using Thermal Desktop, SINDA, and Matlab; Coordinated a Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) test to simulate flight environment; Correlated model to test data, which yielded a high-fidelity model of the component to be used in future analysis.

I contributed to a Problem Analysis Board (PAB) to investigate the root cause of ballistic rounding in pressure-time curves and advanced burning of solid rocket motors. This PAB diversified its investigation methodology due to my questions and input. My investigations were eventually an integral part of the PAB’s recommendation to the rest of the program and to the customer.Another separate task required me to identify suitable materials for use in an advanced superhard ceramic. My input on this task has ongoing impact for future tests and for the direction of the program.

I supported Fleet and Ballistic Missile, Propulsion. I created diffusion models in Matlab of the movement and reaction of various chemicals across differing regions of the missile. This model that reflected the inhomogeneous media of the varying parts of the missile allowed our team to more quickly answer questions related to the safety and structural integrity of the missile.I also interfaced between our suppliers and testing facilities to determine detailed material properties.--I worked with Matlab, discrete math, diffusion modeling via discrete spectral methods, partial differential equations, and subcontract management.

I supported Integrated Systems Health Management and the Reusable Booster System by developing integration and configuration software. Through this internship, I had the unique opportunity to build and test an interface between our computer systems and our subcontractor's systems. Due to my involvement, our team was successfully able to unite two unlike systems for a profound presentation to the customer.--I worked with XML schemas, Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse, C++, APIs, SOAP messaging, C#, TCP/IP, and 802.11 WLAN vulnerability testing, and subcontractor integration.

Researched, evaluated, documented, and recommended new technologies for Space Systems Company.

I facilitated learning and exploration of thought with museum visitors. I taught visitors of all ages about space and current space exploration news. Daily tasks included public presentation, Q&A, communication of technical information, and interaction with individuals from many diverse backgrounds.
