Working as a sound director taught me to translate storytelling concepts into audio phenomena. I developed an expressively acoustical language, enabling me to transpose directors' dramatic visions into immersive sonic spheres. Initially I started with more music-based concepts while moving forward becoming more and more film focused.

Working as a Foley artist I am able to unite all my passions and abilities. Having a great interest in the world and its humans I had no idea that this is where I would land. I can't think of anything that summarizes all my skills and interests so perfectly. I’ve found, and am working in, my dream profession.At times I also work as an ADR mixer, which gives me the pleasure and the sometimes rare opportunity to connect with directors and talents - This simultaneously leeds to an improved understanding of the plot and the characters and feeds into my performance as a Foley artist.

When it comes to Dialogue my time at OddOne really defined my understanding of the industry standard. I had the great chance of working with incredible talents on a daily basis and to engage with customers on international projects from movies to AAA-video games.

At the Broadcasting Station ALEX Berlin I learnt how workflows of live TV and Radio are run. I planned and executed diverse productions which enhanced my self-responsibility and strengthened my hands-on approach as a team leader as well as a team member and on one-man-act productions. I enjoyed being on the edge of my toes to solve problems instantly. I find continuous system and process optimization incredibly satisfying. One of my greatest memories was the first time I autonomously organized a national hockey championship live broadcast from start to finish on the audio side. Location sound was my first professional hands-on experience within the film industry. It was a good position to learn on-set responsibility and to fight for good production audio. The work as a boom operator had a great impact on my understanding of production sound and made me a better postproduction sound engineer. It was also where I learnt to enjoy to put in manual work to achieve great sound.
