Public Service Specialist
Current∙Provide assistance to patrons with information reference and computer technology; ∙ Assist patron with finding books or other media to check out; ∙Assist patrons with use of personal or library technology. ∙Create material displays; ∙Create and assist with programming; ∙Perform collection development using customer suggestions and resources such as CollectionHQ; ∙Serve as Person-in-Charge when Manager is unavailable; ∙Inspect library building, property, and equipment condition; ∙Initiate and follow-up on repair or maintenance requests as needed; ∙Volunteer Liaison; ∙ELL Liaison; ∙Summer Lunch Liaison.Special Projects/Interest Groups: ∙RFID Conversion Team; ∙COVID-19 Reopening Team; ∙Internal Communications Team; ∙Emergency Quick-Guide Review Speed Team; ∙QMS Documents Review Team;∙Social Awareness Team;∙Disabilities and Accessibilities Employee Resource Group; ∙Leap and RFID All-Star; ∙Temporary access to Customer Service inbox to respond to customer emails and process new e-card requests during COVID-19 closure
