Financial Operations Associate
I joined the ConTextos Chicago team in a time of transition, serving as a member of the Leadership Team upon the departure of the then Director of Finance and Operations. I am the lead on all things finance and operations, as well as supporting organizational strategy and human resources. I oversee all aspects of financial management, including day-to-day accounting and budget development. In collaboration with other team members, I support grant compliance and reporting, record management, and other fund development operations. In partnership with the Executive Director, I identify opportunities for operational growth. These include refining policies, streamlining processes, managing adoption of additional tools and resources, leading related team training, and supporting engagement with our Board of Directors. Additionally, I fulfill needs related to people operations, including hiring, onboarding, benefits management, and payroll processing.
Civic & Volunteer Programs Manager
In my shift to the Programs department, I oversee all programmatic operations, systems, and processes. I was the staff lead in migrating our in-house volunteer management platform to a dedicated vendor in the spring of 2022. In partnership with the Senior Programs Manager, I continue to serve as primary point of contact for volunteers, Community Partners, and external technical support. I also co-manage programmatic KPI tracking and program strategy and development, providing support for to all program activities as needed (particularly in regards to budget and event management, tech training and troubleshooting, and website maintenance)I continued to serve as the Staff Liaison for the DEI Committee after the Tech and Strategic Projects Committees were dissolved.

With this promotion, I continued my oversight of all day-to-day organizational operations. I managed all organizational databases and systems, developing key trainings and documentation to advance and retain institutional knowledge. I also crafted the first organizational succession plan, led the preparation for the organizations first financial audit, and became the Staff Liaison for three inaugural Committees (DEI, Tech, and Strategic Projects). In partnership with the Executive Director, I advanced our internship program and managed human resource functions for new hires. Throughout the pandemic, I deepened my role in leading and supporting programmatic activities, including COVID-relief events, virtual cause education, and major cross-sector partnerships.
