Although I wasn’t directly involved in advising people, I had to promote our offer on a very tight budget including delivering a fuel poverty workshop to public and third sector workers supporting individuals and communities, and media and social media management. Responsibilities included taking an integrated communications approach to promoting specific "frameworks" and projects, comprising internal communications; proactive and reactive media relations; social media management; creating content for websites and publications; stakeholder engagement; and events.

As one of only two people working on marketing and communications in the small central team, managed major campaigns including one to reduce the stigma around older adults with alcohol problems. As a Paisley girl born and bred, really enjoyed rediscovering the town’s culture and heritage, which includes the largest collection of Paisley shawls in the world, illustrations by the father of American ornithology, Alexander Wilson, and work by the inimitable John Byrne.
