About Nathan Boyd

Nathan joined Deluxe as VP of Production IT Operations from Virgin Hyperloop-One, where he was Head of Operations and IT. Previous to Hyperloop he was head of Global Enterprise IT at DataDirect Networks (DDN), the world’s largest privately held information storage company. Like Hyperloop-One, DDN went through rapid transformation and growth, and Nathan was promoted from IT Director within two years, successfully supporting a high-tech global engineering effort. Prior to DDN, Nathan was the Enterprise Computing Division Head at the City of Pasadena, where he oversaw all technology infrastructure and operations for the central IT organization and supporting projects and applications for the innovative Transportation, Utilities, Public Safety, and Health Departments. Nathan’s team was responsible for Information Security, Enterprise Systems, Infrastructure, and Operations, working with the Central Intelligence Agency and Secret Service for public events, and partnering with the California Institute of Technology and Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Hyperloop-One is the fourth technology startup company for which he has worked: he has been the senior IT person for a Silicon Valley software company, and Global IT Manager for WorldSpace, the parent company of XMRadio. Nathan holds four of the top seven information security certifications; he completed Unix at UC Berkeley and holds an MCSE Security and CCNA. Nathan is an avid triathlete, vegan, and fan of the English Premier League team, Southampton Football Club.
