Passionate about transforming the world through empathy, compassion, and love, I hold a Ph.D. in Academic and Research Psychology with over a decade of research experience. During my journey as a researcher, I have navigated multiple aspects of research—from conceptualizing frameworks to managing federal research grants, specializing in Substance Abuse, particularly Opioids, since 2014.Currently serving as the Puerto Rico site manager (UPR - Medical Sciences Campus) for the multi-site clinical trial TCNPATHS from Yale University, my research extends into key areas such as the Criminal Justice Population, Alcohol Abuse, and macro-level Treatment for Substance Abuse.Beyond the research realm, I am a passionate psychology professor, teaching courses in general psychology, research methodology, and history and systems of psychology. Academic Psychology and Research fuel my professional pursuits, driven by a belief in the transformative power of research on public policy, shifting from harmful practices to health-oriented approaches.Tech-savvy and invested in staying in touch with emerging technologies, I am particularly fascinated by the development of AI as a tool for public use and its implications, especially in the realm of policing.Outside of my professional endeavors, I find solace in the world of music, inheriting a deep love for it from my bohemian roots. I am not only an avid music enthusiast but also a gamer who finds joy in playing video games as a means of recharging and spending quality time with friends.
