I currently maintain the position as General Manager of the Live Music Division for Thumper Entertainment in Columbia, Missouri. As General Manager, I act as the Festival Director for the annual Roots 'N Blues 'N BBQ Festival produced by Thumper. My roles include team management, vendor relations, budget management, artist/entertainment management, contract negotiation, grant/fund application writing, government regulation management, event production and marketing, and more. I began my career at Woodruff Sweitzer, an integrated marketing agency, in 2007 as a Project Manager for Boone County National Bank's (BCNB) Roots 'N Blues 'N BBQ Festival. This was BCNB's gift to the community for their 150 years of business. This first-year, outdoor music festival took place in the streets of Columbia, Missouri. An estimated 70,000 people attended the event giving Columbia residents an unforgettable weekend which helped the city procure and economic impact of over $1 million - $7 million for the state. The Festival was a success not only for the community, but also for the client! In 2008, I joined Woodruff Sweitzer full-time. My experience with the agency included Event Management and Planning, Account Coordination for an array of clients in higher education, financial services, health care, manufacturing and not-for-profit. Eventually moving into the Interactive division as the Project Manager, I managed projects pertaining to web development and social media strategy.
