Managed a newly formed PMO organization that was responsible for all strategic enterprise-wide projects. I hired, developed and performance managed a small project management team that introduced project management concepts to the organization. I was responsible for developing and maintaining project methodologies and processes for multiple size projects while simultaneously managing a project portfolio that included strategic and day-to-day projects. I introduced an issues escalation project and managed conflicts to resolution. I ensured other senior leaders received regular reports on project status, and continually identified and implemented process improvements concentrating on those that improved efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness of project delivery.

I participated in the formation of and later led an enterprise-wide PMO Delivery (EPMO) organization that consistently and successfully delivered an enterprise portfolio of programs and projects (~50-65) valued at $130M - $150M annually using a flexible delivery model that accommodated existing processes and centralized standards.I improved PMO processes and standards through the use of a flexible delivery model that included agile methodologies. I ensured staff was appropriately managed, rewarding those that excelled, trained those that showed promise and managed out low performers. I championed and led Allstate’s Independent Agent Technology Interface directions, goals and objectives which led to making Allstate and Encompass Insurance front runners in making it easy for Independent Agents (IA) to do business. I actively collaborated with vendors of IA systems to implement new leading edge technical solutions which increase industry recognition of Allstate’s IA company’s (Encompass Insurance) integration technology and resulted in numerous industry awards including Upload and Download Company of the Year honors as well as receiving highly coveted honors by the major agency management systems vendor user groups.
