A very fun group of creatives getting to do what we love to do most: create. With a special focus on the hospitality and tourism industry, we also cater to clients in the medical, non-profit, and academic fields among others. As Communications Coordinator, I deal with everything communications. Copy Writing, Content and Conceptual Planning, Copy Editing, Social Media Management, PR, and more, plus Branding and Strategy. I work with all types of collateral from brochures to visitors' guides and reports. Newsletters, Blogs, Websites, you name it! You'll see me out in the field as well as at the home office--a 1907 Victorian house in historic Lawrenceville just steps from the square that we've dubbed "Accent Manor". We're a pretty unique group, and we love it that way. Maybe that's why our work is award-winning? I'll let you be the judge!

For my first and largest freelance client, I helped to bring this relatively recent custom millwork start-up into the next age of marketing. Tasks included researching competitors' marketing tactics and potential new clients in the target market; designing a new company logo and brand identity; recommending marketing strategies and tactics; building a new, updated website with Wix.com; and creating marketing publications such as brochures and design catalogs. Also established an organic social media presence in main centers of client and competitor activity, i.e. Facebook, Houzz, and Pinterest.

I offered Web Design among other services like copy writing, promo materials, and logo design on a freelance basis. I worked mostly with small businesses, using platforms such as Wix.com to develop eye-catching, engaging designs that the client could then proceed to manage themselves, even without an expert on staff.

Provided office assistance for the international marketing, among others, department of SC's state tourism office. Tasks included writing content for the Discover South Carolina website, newsletter, and paid content distribution, as well as writing copy for other web presences such as the UK, France, and China's Visit USA Committee websites; editing and proofreading tourism guides and other publications; revising the DiscoverSouthCarolina Pinterest account; managing content in Enterprise, the content management system used by PRT; and assisting in the welcome preparations for conferences and important international visitors. Also served as a member of the working staff for the 2016 SC Governor's Conference on Tourism, and contributed to weekly web content strategy and assessment meetings.

Organized 50 years of archival information for the development of a 100 page book detailing the history of the Authority in honor of it's 50th anniversary and designed said book. Also redesigned the Authority's website, assisted in preparations for meetings of the Board of Directors, and presented historical findings at the July 2013 board meeting.

Designed website with information on North Georgia waterfalls, covered bridges, and gristmills for tourists; managed the Bureau's main website and blog; operated the Bureau's front desk and visitor services; and assisted in preparations for meetings of the Board of Directors.

Helped in preparations for all events, including set up and day-of oversight. Also managed and reported membership data as well as data from event feedback.

Published Food Inspections and Obituaries for e-newspaper, assisted in editing lines for radio commercials, and supervised front desk and phones for the WDUN radio station, AccessNorthGA newspaper, and WideTravel Agency. Also interviewed First Lady Sandra Deal of Georgia for WDUN and was interviewed by the radio hosts about programs I was affiliated with.

Accompanied Marketing Officer on sales calls to clients and potential clients, assisted in bank filing, and created holiday gift baskets for major clients.
