Responsibilities: • container development, migration to containers, building CI/CD pipelines • managing a fleet of ~100 virtual machines with GNU/Linux • support of development processes for a team of 9 developers • documentation development in Atlassian Confluence and GitLab (describing system logic, configurations, drawing diagrams, etc)Achievements: • brought to the team Git culture, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), artifact storage (JFrog Artifactory), containers (Docker Compose), Ansible Execution Environment, resource inventory and audit • >10 projects have been containerized, which entailed working with web servers (Apache, NGINX, NGINX Unit, Gunicorn), proxy middleware (HAProxy, OpenAnalytics ShinyProxy, Gatekeeper), databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse, Redis), frameworks (Java Spring Boot, Yii, Django), languages (sh / bash, YAML, JSON, HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, R, Python) and some other techs • implemented role-based access for several apps (via Active Directory groups, HTTP headers, OpenID Connect protocol, Keycloak mappings, Gatekeeper proxy) and VMs (via AD groups, OpenSSH, VMware vCenter) • implemented well-formatted logs for containers and GitLab Runner, Configuration-as-Code approach for Zabbix and KeycloakDuring my work, I came across Grafana, Prometheus, HashiCorp Vault and The AWX Project. Cloud service provider with 22 Tier III data centers.Responsibilities: • monitoring of data center engineering infrastructure and rack equipment with Nagios and observing through personal inspection • installation of racks and rack equipment, operation of structured cable networks • hardware troubleshooting, solving issues with overheating of server halls • BMC Remedy ITSM operationAchievements: • figured out how to perform many tasks (initial setup of PDU, ATS, rack doors, IPKVM, etc; collecting logs from different equipment; etc) that people often forgot or did not want to learn how to do and compiled this knowledge and other information into instructions and published them for general use • rewired and reconfigured the video wall equipment for proper operation of the display cluster. • learned the basics of HTML and CSS and developed several web pagesto improve visibility of Nagios events of different categories (displaying multiple areas with different event filtering options, custom search queries, presets of frequently used or specific queries) • deployed a VPN server to access a remote computer with virtualization support and study GNU/LinuxIn this role I wanted to do more qualified work. I was interested in operating systems, networking, virtualization, and much more, and I already had some relevant knowledge and experience, but I did not yet know how to develop myself, and the work did not contribute to the development of its employees in this position.
