I have input into virtually every aspect of the businesses activities, and am tasked with ensuring all business functions meet our KPI's. I address any challenges head-on with a proactive approach to solutions, managing the implementation of business guidelines and strategies by working with all departments to ensure each area of the business is able to operate efficiently and effectively. I am responsible for implementing new systems and procedures to deliver improved outputs, and ultimately provide a fulfilled client base, whilst continually focussing on maximising the financial side of the business through in-depth analysis and refinement at every stage. My position means that I’m responsible for ensuring that the business has the best possible working environment and processes including evaluating how the business operates, and furthermore how this can be improved and enhanced. Due to my design background, this is a particular area of focus for me. Reviewing designs to ensure current legislation and design standards are met and in-line with present trends and company brand values. I manage the day to day design teams schedule and workload and ensure that the necessary detail and information is successfully shared and transferred across the varying business activities. I was employed as a Product Designer at one of the UK's leading lighting suppliers, working as part of the design team on multiple retailers design briefs to produce exclusive products for their ranges. Some of my many responsibilities include briefing products out to our factories in the Far East and Europe, dealing with design requests, customer meetings, ongoing trend and fashion analysis and regular visits to our factories to aid with product manufacture and development. I undertook a Summer position within the design studios as a general assistant during the Summer break of my University course. I was operating mac's using the industry standard software to set pages out and produce proofs for customer approval. I was given the opportunity to work directly with these customers and received very positive feedback.
